I’ve seen comedies that are just straight up ass and even when I understand what’s happening I’m like “why wouldn’t you just ___” like if it makes sense for the character its cool and I usually find it hilarious but when a story feels contrived I get bored. But at the same time when what you’re describing happens I’m annoyed asf. Part of the reason I mostly watch comedies by myself specifically. Holy yap.
