I have a MAJOR gripe with Zendeya as Athena. To me, she doesn’t sound like someone who’s wise and I just see Zendeya in the trailer, not the character. They should of casted the actress that plays Athena in Epic the Musical

Yeah, this is a huge part of why I’m nervous for this movie. Race swaps are often pretty mediocre, but as long as they pick the right ACTOR for a role, it’s usually not an issue (Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury for example). The problem is that NONE of these actors, including the white ones, give me the vibe that they’d fit the characters they are supposed to be playing whatsoever.

I have a major gripe with Anne Hathaway, tom holland, and Robert Pattinson for the same reason of only seeing them as an actor. Completely breaks my immersion even while just watching the trailer
