found a pink sheep in the middle of a snowy taiga biome and my heart was pounding trying to save it from wolves 😭 it’s in a safe box now but i’m 1.5k blocks away from home and it’s all wolf filled biomes on the way back so idk how this will go

I always put a fence around them just to make sure they don’t despawn

do you have enough bones to just tame the wolves? like is there an abandoned mineshaft with a skeleton spawner for a farm? i thought they were kinda rare but i seem to find them often. would holding both wheat and bones work?

i think this is gonna have to be the way i go, i can’t bring myself to journey by happy ghast for that long for a single sheep

Maybe make a fenced in line to travel back safely? It will be a pain in the ass but worth it imo

considered it but it’s very hilly terrain so even with a fence i couldn’t guarantee a wolf on higher ground wouldn’t jump in unless i roofed it

i immediately boxed it in, put it on a lead attached to a fence, and fed it wheat lmao i wasn’t taking any chances 😅

Damn maybe dig a tunnel like two blocks down from the surface?

i think the nether tunnel will be the way i go, i found it while excavating a trail ruin so i wouldn’t mind having a quick way to look at it once im done excavating. i already built a little archaeological base nearby so it’ll be nice to have it connected up to the nether hub

i play on peaceful, wolves still go after sheep. all the mobs that are hostile to each other still have that interaction, they just don’t care about you.

not unless i was really speedy with taming the wolves, and my reaction times are not trustworthy enough for that. bones don’t tempt wolves in the same way as wheat does on like a cow iirc, they just tilt their heads for a sec
