Give it a belt. Like a full block barrier between the two sections, one block further out for depth

you can google some stone to sandstone gradients, but ultimately i don’t know if you’ll get a good one. my cheaters guide to avoiding having to do gradients is to add depth. like i’d have to mess around a bit, but my immediate decorative thought is to replace the shelves with horizontal spruce logs (a block out from the rest of the build) then evenly space a couple spruce beams going straight up (also a block out), and in those new rectangle spaces, break up the flatness with walls/windows

maybe some pale oak? the white wood might blend a bit better between the sand and stones. i might mess around in a bit to test myself cuz i like this pallete

btw roughly how close will you be to in usually? is this a structure you'll see up close or at a distance?

I tried the pale wood but it’s pinkish tone doesn’t blend better than just oak. This is a starter house that I’m building in creative rn. So up close Fs

I completely agree. Windows, planter boxes, and even some foliage will make the transition less noticeable. I guess I was more so asking what block could make the transition better if you get what I mean.
