It’s way harder on bedrock so I wouldn’t spawn it unless you’re like stacked, I spawned it on my long term bedrock world and I had maxed enchantment netherite gear and potion when I was a freshman in hs and I never beat it. Was playing on Xbox

That’s why I’m hesitant. I have really good armor and sword but the bow is lowkey kind of hard to use on ps4 and considering how fast the wither moves I’m worried I’ll die. Maybe I’ll watch a video on how to trap it and do it the, imo, lame way

Get some healing pots and no other pots, wither is an undead mob so healing does harming damage to it along with wither skeletons which is spawns on bedrock so that’ll damage it and you don’t need to worry about it splashing on you bc if it does it’ll heal you

Oh that’s huge actually, thank you. I have a lot of potions so was thinking of having a few swiftness as well just for being more comfortable

That’ll be good, I believe healing/harming are the only potions that do reverse effects on undead mobs too so don’t expect to poison it with regen or something

But I guess with your logic, I don’t necessarily need to outrun the wither with healing potions because I can just heal myself and harm him simultaneously

True, but you’d need to look into how much damage that’ll actually do to the wither because I think you’ll find that you’re gonna get damaged a lot quicker then you think and the pots are gonna run out fast, also don’t make the mistake of fighting the wither on something like dirt or netherack because those two blocks have some of the lowest durability in the game so the wither will break through them instantly, I would honestly recommend making like a giant obsidian box so you don’t stuck in

I’ve just made a bunch of positive potions so don’t have harming ones anyway… but glad I didn’t make any and start buffing the wither 😂

Bring totems too, I doubt a shield will be very helpful but also make sure whatever weapon you’re using has smite instead of sharpness because smite does extra damage to undead mobs in particular while sharpness does a lesser boosted amount of damage to all mobs than smite does to undead mobs (bane of arthropods is the same as smite just for the “arthropod” class which includes stuff like spiders, silverfish, and shulkers)
