Tips for starting and keeping a forever world? I want one I can be proud of that I don’t get sick of after a month :)Focus on growth and advancement. Enjoy the early game. Pick a long term project. Remember it’s a solo world, not an smp or for YouTube content, so it will look different than what you may see online a lot. Forever worlds don’t need a mega base with complex storage and 100 farms by day 3. It needs to just be fun
Write down every goal or idea you have along the way, no matter how large or how small. They might not all come to fruition but it helps a lot to have a ton of projects on the back burner you can pick up whenever you don’t know what to do next. I agree with beer, don’t speed run it. Enjoying the early game is how I started my world and I don’t think it would have been the same if I had beat the dragon week 1. Build attachments is my other tip! Name villagers or pets, create lore/names for…
Make it possible to get every single item in your world. Every plant, every dye, every weapon, every ore… don’t stop until nothing in the world is too hard to find. Grow watermelon next to netherwart. Keep a white wolf in an enclosure with a ‘tame’ fox and ocelot. Taste the rainbow. Now I want skittles. Damn you.
places you visit regularly (not just “village by your base, but something like Greenhaven or wtv). Gives you stuff you’re excited to visit again before your world has lots of builds. I also recommend noting your progress. I have an irl journal of what I do in my world, but something as simple as some locked before maps of areas you’re planning to build in, or screenshots so you can see what changes over time. Helps to feel like you’re making an impact.
