Nicaragua has a dictatorship but they have a trade deal with the US so that they won’t build a canal that can compete with the Panama Canal. Therefore, they’re doing absolutely fine and people have everything they need just like many other dictatorships around the world such as Russia, China, some Arab countries, among others. It’s the blockade/embargo/sanctions that’s ruined Cuba mostly.
