No!! I have BPD (diagnosed way later than it should’ve been) and I’m living a wonderful life now post treatment. It doesn’t disappear completely, but it’s entirely manageable

Jung described madness as the soul exceeding the limits of the mind, and in my BPD experiences its just like that

Tell me you don’t understand BPD without telling me you don’t understand BPD. It’s such a complex thing to develop and experience. It really doesn’t have anything to do with not being “disciplined.” It also doesn’t mean someone is a liar, manipulator, or narcissistic.

Honestly this is what I’m constantly thinking about. One of the side effects is lashing out and anger but I don’t have that tendency. I feel like my relationships and friendships fail less because I’m manipulative or narcissistic, and more because my entire world relies on other people, and one sign of rejection can send me into depression/suicidal. This whole time I thought I was depressed (taking SSRIs) when really my entire stability relies on other’s actions.
