Getting so annoyed with therapists. I want to learn skills to manage and get better, I know WHY I am like this(abandonment issues, depression, anxiety, etc.) every time they are just like “oh did you come up with that yourself”

Like I want to know how to stop panicking when people take longer than a minute to respond to my text. I want to learn to manage my depression I already know the root causes. I took a psychology class and spent multiple years analyzing my brain in my free time to find out the root causes… I need help learning how to cope and put skills into actions… maybe Ive been in the wrong type of therapy.

You should try DBT therapy if you haven’t yet!

Also every therapist I’ve been too has like a script— which I get they studied the same thing but it makes me feel like I’m talking to a robot. Idk but me personally I don’t share all this information about my life to a robot. Like I bet I’d get a similar experience talking to chat GPT. Instead I’m paying money for the experience of talking to a robot. I don’t even know why this bothers me so much…
