Can anyone else relate to like… preemptive grief? I often find myself being incredibly depressed over things that haven’t happened yet, and hopefully for happen for a while (for example loss of a loved one) like what is up with that?

Yes, I also have this. I believe it’s a trauma response. My mom told me it’s like grieving twice.

Hey friend! You’re not alone. It’s similar to being scared of your own death. It’s not exactly a problem we can solve, but our brains try to treat it like one. It feels wrong to put it aside, but it doesn’t mean you don’t care about that person. Try to allow yourself to set it aside. Remind yourself it’s not something you have to worry about now, and it’s not something that’s going to happen for a very long time. Try to separate the thought from the emotion. You’re not crazy, and not alone ❤️
