I feel like I have undiagnosed mental issues but I’m worried if I go to get diagnosed since it’ll be on my medical record and the drs will always be ask questions or I’ll have to go get therapy and expensive medication when I already have to for my adhd.

Mental illness is something people can recover from depending on what’s going on. I don’t think doctors all look at everything as closely as we think they do. It sounds like you’re worried about being judged for maybe dealing with mental health concern. What would you gain if you did get assessed for mental health? Could the benefit benefits out way the concerns?

It would help me at least know what’s wrong with me and not feel crazy and so overwhelmed. I just feel awkward when they always do the depression questions when I go in. And maybe some knowledge on how to healthily deal with it or take steps to get better for myself

Dr offices are supposed to do more mental health screening to help normalize mental health care. I’m glad they’re asking. You’re right, have you a better understanding of what’s going on could be really helpful. If you’re on campus at all, there are services that are free to you as a student.
