Does anyone have tips on avoiding flashbacks? Genuinely didn’t think they were a real thing until recently. The trauma happened a long time ago but is resurfacing now and I don’t know what to do. Anything helps.

sometimes when i get overwhelmed by a memory i make a little sound and make a sudden movement like rolling over/jumping. i find it helps to physically shake me out of the memory somehow.
