I think it’s easier for people who don’t have as many mental health problems, yeah

Why aren’t you willing to be a good person?

Either way, my advice is to get medicated, find things you enjoy doing, and sit in public (like a coffee shop or something) when you can. You’ve got this.

Maybe they shouldn’t say they “don’t want to” heal, but that it’s difficult. I doubt they’re not willing to be a good person.

i’m well aware that i’m mentally ill and it makes me do things to myself that are distressing to others. but i am not ready for help or to start healing. so i selfishly continue to hurt others by simply existing. that’s why i’m a bad person right now

Maybe there’s a good reason why you’re not ready

There’s a lot of healthy ways to do it, maybe look it up online or Chat GPT—If you have insurance, or free psych care through your school, you can ask them. I have bipolar so I know what it’s like to feel toxic and self destructive. Before you heal just absorb advice and find healthy ways to release these worries. You also need to find happiness in being alone. It’s not easy if you have mental illness, but there’s also so much you can use about your illness that can set you apart from others.

If you don’t need to release anything then the bigger question is: if you genuinely want to feel happy spending time alone or if you’re ready for the commitment of company?
