i would change anything about me just to better build connections with others and they still always end up leaving

I because you changed for them. People can’t always tell immediately when you’re being disingenuous towards yourself but they can tell when you’re changing yourself for someone/something else. Better to be yourself and find a community that makes you feel like home (safe and accepted) first. Or make one
