how did you get out of the hole you were in? what made the depression, anxiety, or feeling lost better for you? i feel hopeless thinking about the rest of my life

Honestly I forced myself to stop thinking about it what the rest of my life would look like. I started to focus on the littlest things. Getting up, focusing on care tasks for myself like hygiene and eating foods that make my body happy. Eventually after you focus on your present long enough you might find yourself in a completely different situation when you’ve examined your life again.

I like to make a journal entry about how I’m feeling and what I’m struggling with and remind myself to re read it and write a new entry in 3 to 4 months to see what has changed and celebrate my progress

I do too, it’s so much easier said than done. I find that setting one goal for my day and focusing on that helps me stay more present, but it’s different for everyone. I hope journaling works for you ♥️
