How is that sexual violence destroys us as children if sometimes we don’t even know that it’s wrong/never taught we can say “no”? How does the body know? As an adult I know it affects me b/c force was used, but what about as a child, when I didn’t resist?

Well, if we look at animals and just us as humans. We do have a defined window of ages where we become sexually able to reproduce. Before that we are not meant to act on/have the feelings of desire as we do when we enter those ages. I would only assume that if you’re pushed/forced to act on things your body is literally not ready for it will have a very deep and psychological effect on you subconsciously or not. The realization usually comes after, when you have understanding of what happened.
