I didn’t have the exact experience you did, but I did have parents that were homophobic. they’re better now, but I still feel ashamed about it and it makes me less confident when it comes to putting myself out there. I look “normal” (aka straight) so I’m always worried what potential friends will think when/if they find out. If u wanna vent or talk feel free to dm!
