I was in an abusive relationship for nearly 2 years (early high school) and my parents didn't notice. A year after I got out I told my mom everything that happened and that I was depressed and she (a nurse) goes "but your life is so good, why would you be depressed?"

Yeah, cuz everyone wants to endure that trauma for a long time🙄 You did nothing wrong. I have friends who were in this situation. Props to you for speaking out! It's a difficult thing to do.
