Grad school makes me feel lazy, but also I feel like nothing matters anymore. My degree is going to be useless in the US, I’m going to be stuck with debt because there’s no more GA-ships, and I’m not even going to get a job. I’m failing and I cant care.

I actually went into this to expand on my primary research topics, and be able to create program recommendations that could actually be implemented. I wanted to go into academia as a professor, but the Big Fuckass Bill kinda ruined my plans. Can’t exactly go get a PhD when half the programs are getting cut due to lack of funding.

I would’ve still done public health, but I think I wouldn’t have tried to be a full time student. But for what’s next? I’m pretty sure I’m gonna try to stay in research as an RA, and try to just get general work experience before I can head back for a doctorates. Are you in grad school rn?

Real as fuck. I’d honestly be careful rn going into a grad program because they’re cutting funding in the US so much. Especially since the Grad Plus loans are axed if your not already a student or accepted into a program

If money wasn’t a factor and you knew what you know now, what other masters would you recommend?

It really just depends on what you want to go into. Masters is basically you going into a niche. Like for me? I went from Psych Sciences to MPH because my research interest is Maternal Mental Healthcare. MPH helps me fit my research niche, and gives me the tools to do policy-effective research+program planning/eval. So I can’t really tell u what program would be good for u
