It’s not your fault and healing isn’t liner. Healing from anything is never a straight line up. It’s rough and messy and that’s just how it goes. I think when you mess up it’s a nice time to look back and see how well you’ve done, then look forward to trying to do better. I haven’t checked them out but I’ve heard we’ve got some good mental health resources on campus. I know it’s not easy to take that first step but asking a friend to help you talk to the right person could help lots :D
Having been through the same thing this summer I know exactly how you feel. But remember that just because you made a mistake that doesn’t make you a failure and your mistakes don’t become you. You’re human. It happens. Identify what brought you to that point, make a plan for what you’ll do next time to avoid it and stick to it. Keep trying. And speaking as a recovering alcoholic just try and take it day by day. The farther ahead you look the weaker you are in the moment.
Regret is a terrible feeling. Everyone makes mistakes. Remember sitting in your own regret is going to make you feel worse. Get up take yourself shopping, get your comfort food, do things you enjoy and move forward. What’s done is done it’s in the past now. You got this. Shit gets tough but your stronger and your still here that is all that matters
