i did a fucked up thing while drunk (impacted me and no one else but is kind of permanent) and now i feel like all the progress i made in therapy over the last like year is in the shitter

Acknowledge and adjust. Any progress you made is still there. You’re just being overwhelmed because you did something you thought you wouldn’t. You’ve made progress, failure is natural, acknowledge the progress, adjust from the setback, and let yourself know that you deserve to keep trying.
