I feel this way at the start of my depressive episodes. It’s better to just spend a day or two crying and staying in bed. For me it gets the feeling out quicker. Otherwise, if I keep fighting it, I’ll be in a constant state of being about to cry

You might just need to read or watch something sad and cry it out. The body can hold stress and need a reset release
