
Same thing! I was put on lexapro first, then zoloft. They could’ve been sugar pills! No effect at all. What’s worse is they were like “it could take a 6-8 weeks to even feel it” which just felt hopeless. I thought SSRIs were all there were and so gave up for years. Then it got unmanageable. As of now, I’ve been on Wellbutrin (Bupropion) for about 5 months. It’s not an SSRI- who knew?! Changed my life
Also, unlike the SSRIs, I wasn’t told the 6+ week thing at all. My follow up was 2 weeks later. By the end of the first week, I could get out of bed, was smiling again. Not saying it’s a miracle drug (though for me it kind of is) or works for everyone, but what I am saying is don’t give up!!!
