Another thing I forgot to mention was my lack of attention span and how it’s become an increasing problem, I can’t even remember the last time I was able to pay attention properly in class both in high school and college. It was something my parents used to get mad about all the time, I would lose focus mid conversation and it’s something I still do now, it’s been seriously hindering my ability to work well in college. I can’t tell if it’s because of I’m lazy and disinterested or something else

Everyone feels like they’re drowning in college at some point even the ones who look like they’ve got it all figured out. Struggling doesn’t mean you don’t belong, it just means your lane looks different. Most people are faking confidence anyway.. college is messy, life is messy, and none of that makes you less. You’re enough just by being here and trying trust me

It makes sense why you feel the way you feel, but I really think it’s fine to be average or unremarkable. Maybe you’re much better at things than you think! But whether you are or not, you don’t owe the world excellence in order to take up space and live a life.

Your college may have free or reduced cost mental health services that might be able to refer you to a psychiatrist if they see some benefit to that. ADHD haver here
