As a recovering addict (496 days), I gotta say, after detox/rehab/AA/NA: It's no WONDER the relapse rate is so high. Holy shit. REALLY seems like they purposefully run shit to have everyone constantly relapse. It's either ppl who have NO IDEA what-

They're doing created all these programs and guides and steps. Or it's 1000% been purposefully, meticulously crafted to keep people coming back. The biggest flaw is that they give EVERYONE the same exact very strict procedures and guidelines. But everyone is very, very different, and everyone's addiction is unique. All require different, personally cultivated plans/methods/steps/etc. This shit is ridiculous.

Like yeah it's no wonder you're all relapsing. They have yall constantly harping on yourselves 'guilt shame guilt shame guilt shame', they say we have no power/are utterly powerless to do anything and only a mystical higher power can fix us, they have you trapped constantly thinking about your addiction/substances/the past, they come DOWN on you with the wrath of 1000 raging gods if you dare question anything or like, say real shit instead of sticking to the script, you can't even talk about how

Hard it all is. You can't speak brutal honesty. They baby TF out of everyone, when addicts NEED to be smacked in the face with cold hard truths to get ANYWHERE. And my sister? She had a lil 1 year adderall problem before entering detox/rehab/etc. She's now been hooked on methadone for 7 years and is always broke from paying for methadone.
