I finally understand what my therapist meant by my nervous system needed time to reset. It’s insane that I’m no longer stuck in the same survival mode, sure there’s points where it’s bad , but it’s almost like a freeing realization.

Honestly I have no clue, my best guess is that I was living in a toxic environment and now being on my own my body is learning I don’t have to be on guard constantly. Sure, I still have anxiety about life but that’s why you slowly work through it. Therapy truly does help, I’m sorry if that wasn’t what you’re were looking for but this is the best I can think of.
