No I’m not. Every one leaves me. My parents ridicule me. My friends are practically nonexistent. I have to do every single little and big thing all alone. When I am seeking a lover, I get disrespected. When I seek friendship, I get ghosted. What is the point of life if there’s only myself? I just don’t want to be here anymore. And I can’t bare another day looking at couples together while I’m on the side like a fucking fool with nothing to go for.
Yes your comment about what other people are going through and how it’s not fair to happen to them but not you is imposter syndrome like symptom but in reality it’s mostly depressive thinking combined with suicidal ideation. I believe your brain might be chemically imbalanced and it might be worth talking to someone who can understand how and in what way, who can take actions to help you. You are not alone, I feel this way a lot. One thing I tell myself is no matter how I am feeling,
You are young , and life is what you make of it . You cannot control everything that happens . If you are unhappy with all that is going on , it's up to you to make a change . What you're describing sounds like you are lonely . And that you want a partner . And I know it may seem that if you had someone like that in your life , you'd be the happiest person . But in reality , that's not how it works . People see you exactly how you see yourself . You want people to treat you well ?
I mean I do treat myself well physically. I actively occupy my time and put myself out there. When I’m alone, I’ll enjoy that time. I’m watching a movie I enjoy right now after a long day/weekend, and like I know to take care of myself. But my frustration not having a partner is killing me. It doesn’t make any sense I know but I am doing everything in my power to take care of myself and live a fulfilling life on my own but still. Hyper sex drive also doesn’t help
Because you aren't , you just admitted it . If you don't respect yourself , people won't respect you . And it is upsetting when you have been disappointed by your relationships throughout your life and definitely can ingrain a certain mindset, but it something you have to learn to work with . That little voice is telling you you're unlovable , which isn't true, everyone is lovable . Jsut switch your perspective on things . The world shouldn't seem like it is coming at you. This is life .
I am grateful. I got a lot of good things. Good upbringing, good environment I live in (the safest there is while pricey), very good job (flexible), learned good values & boundaries, access to sports and hobbies, able to buy mostly anything I want, and most importantly a strong healthy mind and body. Like I’m a very lucky guy and I tell myself that. But I don’t have friends or a lover. And I feel like even the most fked up people do. I’m doing good for myself and appreciate myself for it
And I thank god for it. But yet no relationships and feeling like a nobody all the time is a killing feeling. No matter how much of an effort I put into my life or trying to build connections, not that I expect every one of them to like me, it does kill me as it stacks especially in one night
