I could never talk to her about it because then she’ll only see me as “one of the crazies” and it makes me so upset

Maybe ableist isn’t the right word? Idk. She believes a lot of the stigma though is what I mean

I’d say ableist is the right word here. OP, I’m sorry you’re in this situation. It’s fucked up and if she believes the stigma she shouldn’t be there.
