wlw my girlfriend is mad at me and i actually feel like im about to have a panic attack. i just said something she didn't like but i can feel it building in my chest. i care about her much more than she knows but sharing this with her feels manipulative

Work on regulating your emotions. I 100% relate as a former people pleaser the feeling of HAVING to make everything ok. It helped me to take time and focus on feeling my feelings. Where they resided in my body, feel the feeling (name it, sit with it), remind myself that it’s okay to feel, I’m an adult and am safe, this is uncomfortable but it’s not the life or death my body thinks it is
