there is an adjustment period to ssri's where your brain is trying to adjust to all the serotonin which leads to confusion and mood swings. it should pass

SSRI’s are horrible. I’ll take the heat for this comment but they will be seen as the chemical lobotomies they are and archaic relatively recently in the future. I hope you aren’t the unlucky ones who get permanent side effects. Do they sometimes numb people enough to not take their own lives? Sure sometimes, but the fact they’re thrown out like candy by doctors without any discussion about side effects, long term side effects, how to safely get off them, and permanent damage is so wrong.

ahh that makes sense. i felt totally fine for the first 4 months on it but it suddenly changed so my doctor thinks it unmasked bipolar

mmh maybe but personally as someone with bipolar 2, ssri's pushed me into a hypomanic episode on day 1 and prozac sent me into psychosis so idk about it unmasking bipolar this far into taking ssri's but im not a doctor ✋🏻

FIRST💀 do you have a psychiatrist or a normal doctor? typically zoloft is first line of defense that works for allot of people
