I rescued a dog off the side of the road and instantly bonded and I’d like to adopt her and train her to be a service dog to help with my depression but my bf of 6 years says it’s not the time for a dog. Idk what to do

I want to tell you either way to do what you think is right but like, just make sure that this isn’t an impulsive decision and that you’re actually able to care for a train a dog, who will also need to see a vet if she’s a new rescue to make sure she’s healthy
