I’ve been told that I am too rational, too logical, and too in my own head. But I don’t know what else there is to do

You have your logic brain, emotional brain, and wisdom brain. It sounds like you're stuck in the logic brain. Wisdom brain is optimal. This requires a convergence of logic/emotional brains. What you're describing can be caused by autism, look into DBT skills/wisdom v logic v emotional brain

It'll help because it forces you to do internal work and seriously learn how to navigate your own brain. It teaches you how to view situations/others/the world through different lenses and perspectives. It teaches you how to hack your own brain and nervous system. DBT skills/teachings/practices are some of the only things that can actually help some people. Specifically ppl with bpd, autism, CPTSD, MDD, and addiction. (DBT works for me, CBT and shi is not at all useful for me!)

It's also very optimal for individuals who are already in their own heads and analyze their own thoughts frequently and already know the causes of most behaviors/flaws/etc etc
