I’m considering going on antidepressants. Has anyone tried antidepressants here? If so, did you find them helpful?

They saved my life and I wish I hadn’t hesitated. Dm if you have any questions happy to answer.

I tried them as a last resort and I personally didn’t find them helpful. IMO, they should be avoided if possible. BUT of course, lots of people have success with them for short term and long term use. Definitely look into all options, meds can be life changing for some.

Good at first but then you lose your labido or it never really works out if you’re depressed because of bipolar also I think it’s been proven that placebo alone helps more than any antidepressant

I have been on mine for 4 years, had to change it a couple times before i found one i really liked. It definitely does work tho. I had people pointing out to me that i seemed like i actually liked life now and i couldn’t really care less to be sad about anything anymore

It’s really helped for me. I’ve been struggling with MDD for over 5 years now. I only started going to therapy and taking meds last year. Things aren’t perfect. However the meds just kind of just make it a bit easier to handle things. However this process is different for everyone.

Look up Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction. Lexapro made me so physically numb that I couldn’t cum at all even alone. So it helped but I couldn’t cum and that’s no way to live either
