It’s not how I feel that kicks my ass with depression the most, it’s the intense loneliness I get from not being able to explain to people how much I hate myself and how much I just like do not want to be alive.

Write it down or record yourself saying them. Hearing your own thoughts makes it clearer.

Yeah, it’s kind of the self loathing that comes along with it that hurts so bad. Like why do I hate myself so much right now when technically everything looks ok on the surface

You also don't need to have a particular journal. Just sheets of paper and a pen will do. Then, perhaps you can self reflect or store it for your future self to look back to.
