Iโ€™m gonna use dc as an example of why this will never work for a second: Tim Drake (Robin #3) was treated as bi by the fandom for decades, mostly because of his interactions with Connor Kent Superboy in the Teen Titans comics. Cut to when DC made it canon and gave him a boyfriend named Bernard: the non-fandom fans/bigots lost their collective shit and called the whole thing โ€œwokeโ€. Marvel would have the same problem if they changed the sexualities of either character.
