i think as a woman i know exactly what sol meant even though she worded it terribly. the passive aggressive and unsaid but expressed belittling comments like melanie was being fake nice and shallow lol melanie was never a girls girl in that villa

no, i think you just lack the emotional intelligence to understand and thats really sad for you 💔 like even in the conversation they had abt sols dad you could tell melanie didnt care at all by the way she chose to react to that and then throw it against sol likeeee thats mean and shallow asf

i lack emotional intelligence bc i disagree with your opinion on love island…? clearly you don’t know what emotional intelligence is bc someone who is actually emotionally intelligent is able to have conversations with people who disagree without making ad hominem attacks. in my opinion, i think melanie did care and was being genuine so i’m confused how you came to that conclusion. and when did she ever use her vulnerability against her? feels like you’re just rewriting history rn

girl youre rewriting history literally just look up the point i made and im sure theres muliple videos to dumb it down for you. and no i didnt say that bc you disagree with me i say that because you demonstrated your lack of empathy and understanding of the situation lmaoo but ok

again with the ad hominem attacks lol. you instantly lose all credibility when you can’t even defend your points without always making a personal attack. i understand the situation, i just disagree. i think they might’ve been hostile in the beginning but after they had that talk, i think they were fine. melanie has been nothing but sweet and genuine in my opinion. i didn’t even have an issue with sol until she came out of the villa and started moving weird

Anonymous replying to -> #1 4d

if anyone was shallow or passive aggressive, it was sol, not melanie. also, i find it ironic how you’re critiquing my supposed lack of empathy when all you’ve done is make personal attacks this whole time. you’re criticizing melanie for supposedly not being a girl’s girl, yet you can’t even exemplify those characteristics in this conversation. so idk, it’s looking like projection imo 🫠

go watch someone explain my point lol im not arguing with some loser on yikyak who cant even understand a basic demonstration of darvo. and its not projection i just think being blunt is the only way you will understand me since you apparently cant read between the lines. melanie is a manipulator and sol is completely valid in feeling how she did. you should take the time to learn some of these manipulation tactics so they arent used on you, hope this helps!

i believe that YOU believe you understand the situation but you very clearly dont lol otherwise you wouldnt be asking someone on yikyak to explain it to you. and again its not an “ad hominem attack” its literally just me telling you that if you dont understand my point you dont have the emotional intelligence to understand it and that is ok ❤️😭 like that wasnt meant to be an insult?? i would never make fun of someone for their low intelligence

Anonymous replying to -> #1 4d

i think there’s a lot of projection happening here, and i also think the way you’ve approached this conversation has been unnecessarily condescending, patronizing, and passive aggressive. like i explained earlier, emotional intelligence involves being able to communicate your perspective calmly, listen to other people, and disagree without resorting to putting them down. unfortunately, that hasn’t been happening in this conversation on your end

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 4d

you also shouldn’t need someone else to explain your argument for you. if you have a position, you should be able to articulate it yourself and explain why you believe it without relying on insults or ad hominems. you can disagree with me and challenge what i’m saying without making personal attacks the center of the discussion. putting someone down doesn’t make your argument stronger, and it certainly doesn’t demonstrate empathy or emotional intelligence

upvote 0 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 4d

that’s also why i find it contradictory that you’re emphasizing empathy and being a girl’s girl while speaking to me in a way that doesn’t reflect those same values. if those are qualities you expect from other people, i think it’s important to hold yourself to the same standard. otherwise, don’t complain when others participate in the same behaviors as you, and don’t put expectations on other people that you aren’t willing to hold yourself to

lol who i am in a random yikyak comment section does not display who i actually am?? obviously if im offended by her behavior then i dont act like that in real life, figured that was self explanatory my bad. and i think your projecting if you think melanie wasnt manipulative bc what?? im not saying shes a terrible person im just saying she was clearly manipulative.

if that’s your entire argument, then i already addressed that hours ago when i said “i think they might've been hostile in the beginning but after they had that talk, i think they were fine.” but if just melanie’s initial hostility is proof that she’s manipulative, then you can actually make an even bigger case for sol being the manipulative one bc she was 100x more hostile than mela ever was

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> OP 4d

I’d say she was manipulative at the reunion because she kept twisting situations to make herself look like the victim. She would deflect from what Sol was actually saying, bring up everything she had supposedly done for her, and focus on tiny details instead of taking accountability for the bigger issue. It felt like she knew how to control the conversation so everyone would side with her.

and yea not defending sol she was weird af but shes valid to feel the way she felt and realize after reliving the conversation they had that melanie was not being sincere and was just trying to look like the perfect victim

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

but melanie already took accountability for her hostility during that conversation they had in say less… they were literally okay after they had that talk. sol was the one who came out of the villa and started moving weird, and melanie addressed it bc she has every right to defend herself

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

so i don’t think she was deflecting from anything, bc that issue had already been resolved in say less. there’s no need to keep beating a dead horse. and the pie situation wasn’t her focusing on tiny details either; sol was trying to lie and rewrite the narrative. if she was willing to lie about how many times she got pied, then who knows what else she was willing to lie about?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

i’m just not understanding how melanie defending herself makes her manipulative. if anyone was being manipulative, it was sol. she wanted to be the victim and was willing to lie to make that happen. they were good after that conversation in say less until sol started moving weird. if anyone was twisting situations to make themselves look like a victim, it was sol, not melanie, and we literally watched it happen on live tv

upvote 1 downvote

yea but if u read between the lines that wasnt a genuine conversation.. that was melanie trying to keep her image as the “perfect victim” its literally a classic example of manipulation

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 3d

i think she was, sol was upset bc she felt like they were mean and isolating, which they were.. and melanie made multiple rude comments that sol didnt see until she watched it back. melanie didnt like that she looks like the mean girl in that situation so she deflected by focusing on the thing sol lied about trying to have a gotcha moment with the “mama a liar” like?? she couldve just apologized and acknowledged sols feelings instead of dismissing, diminishing, and overall making fun of sol for

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

just bc you interpreted the conversation as not being genuine doesn’t mean melanie wasn’t actually being genuine. your interpretation doesn’t automatically mean you’re right lol. she could’ve genuinely meant what she said even if you didn’t perceive it that way. i also don’t think melanie cares about being the “perfect victim.” she was simply trying to defend herself after multiple women came after her and tried to lie and defame her character, and i don’t see anything manipulative about that

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

and she already apologized and acknowledged sol’s feelings, so like how many more times do they have to beat a dead horse?? and if you genuinely believe they were both being manipulative, then why aren’t you also questioning and criticizing sol for not apologizing to melanie? if you think they were both being manipulative, why not hold them to the same standard?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

why are you expecting accountability from melanie but not from sol? at least melanie has already apologized, whether you believe it was genuine or not. when has sol apologized? sol has also made multiple rude comments that melanie didn’t appreciate, but somehow only melanie is expected to apologize and take accountability? why the double standard?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

mind you, it was so easy for sol to forgive sincere when he was the one who actually did her dirty, but she somehow refuses to forgive melanie bc she doesn’t think her apology was “genuine enough”? sincere did far worse to sol than melanie did, yet she’s somehow a lot more forgiving toward him than she is toward her. it’s giving a lot of misplaced anger

upvote 1 downvote

i do, but we are having a conversation about why melanie was still in the wrong during the reunion. i do hold them to the same standard i dont follow either of them lmao what r u talking about.

Anonymous replying to -> OP 3d

go back and watch it. tell me the language used was not dismissive. and yes i think melanie displays darvo very well in a lot of situations shown. if a girl ostracized you with a group of people and put you down on reality TV and then said sry in the least genuine half assed way (which she later took back her apology btw) would you not be upset?

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

but melanie was not in the wrong 😭 she already apologized, was held accountable, and was being genuine. what more do you want from her? “i don’t follow either of them,” no one said you do 💀 and you claim there’s no double standard and that you hold them both to the same standard, but then you presented a double standard in the same exact sentence 🤦🏾‍♀️ you can’t make ts up 😭

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

melanie’s “massive following” is irrelevant to this conversation. you complain about melanie deflecting, yet that’s exactly what you’re doing rn lol. sol has made a million more rude comments about melanie since she left the villa, which is why melanie chose to defend herself and her character during the reunion

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

she was not being dismissive. the situation was already done with in say less. they were good after say less. they were cordial after that talk in say less. they had no beef after that talk in say less. she forgave her in say less. i’m intentionally being redundant bc i don’t think you’re understanding that they were good until sol started creating issues and drama once she left the villa

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

bc if sol really felt that melanie was being disingenuous, then why didn’t she bring that up during their conversation in say less? why wait until after she left the villa to be messy and start drama? why not fully resolve the issue then? she had her chance, but never took it. why? if that’s how she felt, why not communicate it then? imo, i don’t think that’s actually how she felt. i think she just wanted to be the “perfect victim,” if we’re gonna use your lingo, for attention

and pls don’t get me started with “if a girl ostracized you and put you down on reality tv,” girl, sincere did that to her in a MUCH WORSE WAY, and yet she still FORGAVE HIM but NOT melanie!! if anyone was being disingenuous toward her, it was sincere!!! if anyone’s apology was half assed, it was sincere’s. but she can EASILY forgive sincere but not melanie???? make it make sense, pls!

sol was also ostracizing melanie and has still yet to apologize. so like i said, unless you’re going to criticize her for not apologizing and taking accountability for her words and actions, then yes, you do have a double standard. don’t complain about melanie being dismissive toward sol when you’re dismissing melanie in the same breath

i’m just confused as to how you can say you empathize with what mela went through, yet still refuse to hold sol to the same standard by acknowledging that she should’ve apologized as well. like it makes no sense to call melanie’s apology disingenuous while not even acknowledging that sol should’ve apologized too 😭 that quite literally is a double standard, selective empathy, and being incredibly biased toward sol 🤦🏾‍♀️

Anonymous replying to -> #1 3d

and how do you think melanie felt watching that back? how do you think she felt after assuming they left the villa on good terms, only for sol to go behind her back and talk shit for no reason? and don’t try to bring up all that initial hostility, bc that situation was over after their conversation in say less, like i already reiterated earlier

upvote 1 downvote

i think they both had bad moments and both should’ve apologized. the difference is that one did, while the other didn’t. and you don’t seem to have an issue with the fact that sol never apologized, which is exactly what makes this a double standard

upvote 1 downvote

and yeah, what melanie did to sol was completely different from what sincere did to sol. i never said it was the same thing. what you’re not understanding is that what sincere did was WORSE. if she can forgive him for doing WORSE, then why can’t she forgive melanie for doing LESS? that’s the question you keep dodging
