A man proving himself to a woman is also patriarchy and misogyny. That’s the whole idea behind 1900s era courting and chivalry. I want a man that’s my equal, I think he should prove himself to me and I should prove myself to him. We’re both adults with agency. I’m not a prize to be won.

that’s literally my entire point but think that a woman should prove himself to a man but men do to a certain extent prove themselves and their intentions bc men more times than not are most commonly the ones who are committing violent crimes against women in dv situations so yes men do have to prove themselves more is LITERALLY what i was saying ur just taking it and turning it into smth it’s jot and completely negating the harm that the patriarchy and men have caused and still uphold today
