Same! I don’t think I’ll be able to watch the whole season, but I’m still planning on keeping up and watching the highlights.

I wouldn’t say current Live Island UK is better than USA (although S1-5 were LEGENDARY) I feel like it’s a lot more tamer now because of the restrictions that got out in the show. And ofc, the USA a lot better with diversity in its cast as well.

Basically as the show went on and got more popular and mainstream in the uk, they had to censor a lot of it and also show less drama because of how bad the public treated the cast when the season (previous cast members have committed suicide) Also the UK airs on a public broadcast channel where they have to follow Ofcom regulations. While the US is now on Peacock, a streaming site which gives production a lot more freedom in what they can show.

Oh nothing major just the standard stuff like limiting the amount of alcohol per contestant, smoking banned completely now (first seasons of the UK let them do whatever), and a complete social media ban so family members and friends are not allowed to use the account on the contestants behalf

I wouldn’t say that they age faster, it’s just the botox/filler. Apparently in the UK botox can literally be administered by anyone while in USA it can only be done by a professional. Which is why they end up looking crazy when stepping into the island

yeah i know 😭 i think it could also be the style of makeup that they do, it ages them + it’s that style that was trendy here years ago so we associate with being “older”
