I'm Asian myself and I agree. Parmida is a non-western name so it's not the same as someone making puns out of a name like Sean Robert Sarah etc. Someone else said is ParmidAl better if CorbinGPT is a thing and honestly yeah because at least it still retains the original name and just adds to the end, Parmesan just feels like it's making fun of the overall name of like "teehee it sounds like a food" while the Al thing isn't making fun of the name itself imo, rather it j connects back to Corbin

it’s not that i have anything against nicknames for the islanders. but the nicknames given still have their names like someone already said corbingpt. as someone with a non-western name i’ve grown up with people giving me nicknames cause they were too lazy to actually learn it

there are so many nicknames this season that don’t involve the islanders real names, and imo parmesan does involve her name bc “parm”ida (probs where it came from). i don’t want to put your experience down at all with your name or what you went through but in all honesty i don’t think the intention or reason behind the nickname was because of that, it’s simply a play on her actual name similar to corbingpt, ive also seen corn cob for corbin and insincere too, just plays on their real names
