‘Why do people document their personal lives on their personal social media?’ I swear some people don’t think at all when typing. They just write whatever, don’t read what they’ve typed, then hit post.

you can also post something for attention and community and to show off without you having done the thing solely for attention. i can make a cake a be proud of it and post it because i want other people to see, but that doesn’t mean i don’t wanna eat the cake too

we need to destigmatize posting things for attention. it doesn’t mean someone did what they did in the post for attention, but they can still post about it for attention
