i think getting rid of the *expectation* of abiding by gender & its roles would be better than abolishing gender completely. if you wanna live life with gender cool & the opposite should be fine as well.

Like I get that they want more freedom of expression, but there comes a point when you start going backwards by telling people their gender identity shouldn’t matter to them or gender shouldn’t matter in dating/sex, like not everyone’s the same and that’s ok, let’s all do whatever makes us comfortable and happy instead

ugh yes. i feel the same way about sexuality too. the people who preach that sexuality is fluid and you shouldn’t label yourself. like thanks but no thanks, being a lesbian and a butch is an integral part of who i am.
