it probably comes mostly from religious stuff “living a lifestyle of sin where they repeatedly choose sexual pleasure over god’s ultimate plan for them to be a parent of 10” or something like that

I can see this being a reason too. Also all of the non Christians using christianity to justifying their hate. In reality the Bible does not have issues with gay people. The language used in the scripture was changed to justify hate
