I have no opinion on that post or the concept of being DL in general, but I think you're mistaken in believing that closeted gay people who oppose LGBT rights are doing it to protect their secret. they have those beliefs because that is their worldview and they want to fully support its political agenda. it's probably inconvenient to them that they're gay and I'm sure they hate themselves but it's not an elaborate coverup of their own sexuality, they just Are Republicans
