The Kansas law revoking drivers licenses for trans people has gone into effect. People are receiving letters. This effectively prevents trans people from earning a living or going out in public in Kansas

There’s no grace period either so if they don’t do it now and get caught they are fucked. Thankfully they can have a license they just have to get a new one with “sex assigned at birth” which is still shit but I’m glad they will still be able to drive and vote

Well it sounds ok on paper until they actually show up at the polls and someone says “hey this isn’t you.” Or even worse if the SAVE act passes

This is also effectively a way to legally id trans people. Step 2 of the 10 steps to a genocide. Then again we’ve also already hit steps 3, 4, and 6, but I doubt the steps are completely linear

I'm so disappointed in people. I'm trans. I have known I am for 7 years, and I haven't been able to do a single damn thing about it because that's around when it really started kicking off. This stuff happening isn't new. Can't tell my best friend of 13 years, he can't keep quiet. And this? That's terrifying. I'm so beyond disappointed in humanity nowadays. Thanks for sharing this, though, truly.

We’re way past that. Symbolization goes back to the 70s here. This is preparation to seize assets when trans people can’t work

People don't seem to realize that this doesn't just hurt trans people, but anyone who refuses to cleanly present into a binary, or intersex people, anything. If you're a masculine woman, genetically, you're at risk just for using a public bathroom. I can't. People are so damn stupid. It's never been about trans people.
