Yes i think the conversation about paris is devolving into something it shouldnt be. As a lesbian who was offended by the video, i dont think its useful to speculate if paris or any woman who has a sexual but not romantic attraction to women is actually bi, i think the conversation needs to be about the ways in which women are often sexualized and objectified even in queer spaces, especially her essentially calling masc women and enbies “men lite”.
This bisexual woman got on TikTok and said I’m bisexual but I don’t see myself ending up with a woman (which would have been okay if she stopped there). She went on to say that she only wants to be with feminine women bc why be with a masc woman when you can just be with a man. And then went on to talk about how men have the right equipment and that if you are going to use strap she just wants the real thing. The whole video was just full of internalized misogyny and homophobia
She also had a lot of people liking the video and in her comments agreeing with her and then lesbians and some other bi women called her out on her misogyny and homophobia, and she has claimed all the criticism is biphobia. Which some of it definitely has been bc some people have even gone as far to say she’s not really bisexual and she’s really straight, which takes away from the valid criticisms of her video and the misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia that the video promoted
