queer people that hate on me just for practicing a religion that I’m not a part of anger me. Yes I grew up Muslim but I’m not today. I still pray and follow the practices bc I don’t have religious trauma and it calms me. Why is that so hard to respect?

Honestly this is tea. Not the same at all, but I was raised Christian, now agnostic, and every year I partake in Ramadan because I find it spiritually meaningful, calming, and cleansing. The world does not need to be as black and white as we’ve made it.
