It’s not wrong, but she has entitlement and privilege. That’s not a jab, it’s a fact because of her situation that she was born into. I’m mad that her father thinks she’s entitled to other celebrities time to the point that it gets an artist who really just wants left alone to her art barred from performing in an entire city.
Well I’m usually not on the celeb drama cause I don’t do that parasocial shit, but when this kind of stuff is going to normalize targeting hatred towards outspoken women who do nothing more than set boundaries, I tend to have a problem. If y’all had a serious issue with her like genuinely being terrible, then I could understand, but she didn’t even do anything wrong, a security guard did. This whole situation is only a thing because she’s outspoken and an easy target for online harassment. 🫤
He didn’t say she should have gotten access to Chappell. He said the man didn’t have to be aggressive to her about it. Which is true. He doesn’t believe his child is entitled to access, he believes his child is entitled to being treated kindly when nothing wrong had happened yet. At the same time chapell’s original response was bullshit, which was deleted and she corrected it with what I feel is an adequate apology. Your right to basic decency doesn’t get absolved bc your parents have money
Ok, well you kind of changed my viewpoint and I appreciate that. I agree, she shouldn’t have received full on indecency for wanting to see Chappell. However, I still don’t see her in the wrong because, A. We don’t know if that was her security, it’s speculation. B. We have barely any eye witness accounts, just the two parties involved. C. It’s never stated that she directly told the guard what to say. Whatever he said he came up with and it’s not exactly fair to go blaming her for his actions.
This is why we can’t get anything done. Y’all are so performative. Nepotism at a whole is bad whether she’s a child or not, like dude her having that privilege is only possible because someone somewhere is getting taken advantage of so her family can make that money. Also, She can’t control it, I get it, but I’m not wrong for thinking her family does have some entitlement issues getting an artist barred from an entire city over something that could’ve very well been a misunderstanding.
There are celebrities who do far worse to their fans daily, such a Doja Cat, and still have a platform and are considered “iconic”. On top of that, imagine if she did that to a non multi-million dollar family. Nothing would’ve happened and no one would gaf. It’s literally just because they have notoriety there was action taken so swift. Quite frankly so swift we don’t even know if the situation was meant to be harmful toward the girl. It’s not just “little girl got her feelings hurt”.
I’d rather her just say what comes to her head then sit down and write a 10 minute scripted YTber apology with fake tears… I thought her apology actually came off as genuine because she didn’t have a fake tone she just said what the situation was and how she wasn’t aware… she could respectfully have over explained if she really wanted to but that wouldn’t have added to it… it was short and addressed what happened…
