
It’s hard to tell a lot of the time whether people are intentionally misrepresenting what the other person said, or if they’re actually just that hyper focused on their own opinion. either way it’s annoying, and people need to learn to step back and think about what the other person is actually saying, more than ways they could be wrong
I feel like ppl just need to open their hearts and ears and listen to each other’s experiences of oppression. And be willing to accept sometimes they carry their own bigotries. Like this could be an open forum to learn and share and grow if we let it. But i think anonymity hampers that bc it prevents relationship building, and the fact that its not face to face limits the empathetic instinct idk
