
hey! just to clarify, they’re not deciding anything today. they’re discussing whether to take up the case at all, and they usually don’t decide until they’ve had 2 consecutive conferences on the case. the very earliest we can hear about whether they take the case is monday, but that’s unlikely. IF they take up the case, they won’t hear it until the spring and won’t decide it until june, at which time it would be up to states
in my opinion, it’s highly unlikely they take up the case at all. even if they’re gunning for gay marriage, which i’m not sure enough of them are, this is a bad case for it procedurally. if anything i would guess they wait a few years for texas’ new trigger law to make it up thru the courts to take up the issue
