Bi vs pan is just vibe based

Pan is under the bi umbrella. Pan is just no preference

Bisexual means the capacity to like two or more genders. Pansexual means being attracted to all genders (maybe)

I feel like “for” and “despite” make it out to be a little more important than it is, for me personally at least I identify as bi but I wouldn’t say I like someone for or in spite of their gender. I think bi people generally have a difference in what they find attractive on the feminine side and on the masculine side, while pan people have a more general style of attraction, but even that isn’t even close to universal

as someone who identifies as bi but will date any gender (or lack thereof), i think of it as pan willing to date anyone without preferences and bi having a preference for identity or presentation
